La biblioteca contiene oltre 23.000 volumi su ermetismo , alchimia , misticismo , occultismo, gnosi e esoterismo di valore scientifico e artistico.
Riunisce circa 4.500 manoscritti e libri stampati prima del 1800 d.c.
Uno dei tesori che possiamo trovare nella Biblioteca è la prima edizione illustrata di Dante , la Divina Commedia 1481.
Negli ultimi anni grazie alla generosa donazione di Dan Brown , la biblioteca ha iniziato a scansionare e mettere online parte della sua principale raccolta in un archivio online chiamato The hermetically open archive.
Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica commonly called the Ritman Library is a private Dutch library founded by Joost Ritman in 1957.
The library contains over 23,000 volumes on hermeticism, alchemy, mysticism, occultism, gnosis and esotericism of scientific and artistic value.
It brings together about 4,500 manuscripts and printed books before 1800 AD.
One of the treasures that we can find in the Library is the first illustrated edition of Dante, the Divine Comedy 1481.
In recent years, thanks to Dan Brown's generous donation, the library has begun to scan and put online part of its main collection in an online archive called The hermetically open archive.
