[ENGLISH BELOW] Stonehenge è un sito neolitico che si trova in Inghilterra, vicino a Salisbury. È composto da megaliti, grandi pietre erette in modo circolare e sormontate da pietre orizzontali.
È uno dei più celebri ed imponenti cromlech.
La sua costruzione si pensa che fu intrapresa intorno al 3100 a.C. conclusa poi intorno al 1600 a.C. , le pietre deriverebbero da luoghi distanti chilometri.
La posizione attuale delle pietre di Stonehenge è dovuta anche a dei lavori di ricostruzione attuati circa nella prima metà del Novecento, alcuni pensano però che durante questi lavori alcune posizioni siano state alterate.
Si crede che Stonehenge rappresenti un antico e preistorico osservatorio astronomico , legato particolarmente al solstizio e equinozio perché l'asse di Stonehenge è orientato in direzione dell'alba nel solstizio estivo , ma non quello invernale.
L'origine di Stonehenge e il suo scopo è da sempre sotto ampie discussioni , i primi studi attuati intorno alla metà del 1600 hanno attribuito la nascita del sito o almeno la sua lavorazione ai Druidi e successivamente utilizzato anche dai Celti, al quale venne poi attribuita anche la funzione astronomica e di calendario.
Quasi un secolo dopo , con ulteriori studi viene considerato luogo di culto e di riti pagani , teoria contrastante in quanto diversi studiosi non considerano idoneo il luogo del sito per gli antichi rituali più comunemente celebrati nei boschi al di fuori dei rituali sacrificali , altri invece consideravano i Druidi un popolo non pagano e che quindi il suo utilizzo rituale sia solo successivo.
Tante sono le leggende e teorie legate a questo luogo , una di queste è legata alla leggenda di Re Artù , che narra che il sito sia stato costruito da dei Giganti trasportando le pietre dall'Africa , Merlino ordinò la sua rimozione del monte Irlandese dove era stato costruito e venne portato quindi dove si trova ora.
Altre leggende vedono Stonehenge come passaggio in un altra realtà e luogo magico sede di potenti rituali effettuati durante il solstizio , altre ancora raccontano di Stonehenge come luogo utilizzato per iniziazioni di antichi e segreti culti.
In tempi moderni è stato ed è luogo di pellegrinaggio e di celebrazioni legate alle correnti neo pagane.
Luogo mistico per eccellenza con alte vibrazioni si pensa nasconda ulteriori segreti legati ai rituali degli antichi popoli che hanno costruito e utilizzato il sito di Stonehenge nel corso dei secoli.

Almost a century later, with further studies it is considered a place of worship and pagan rituals, a contrasting theory in that several scholars do not consider the site site suitable for the ancient rituals most commonly celebrated in the woods outside sacrificial rituals, while others considered the Druids are not a people and therefore their ritual use is only later.
